A must. The Scotch Whisky was good... but the grounds are spectacular. We didn't know what to expect given that this was our n-th distillery visit in days. But we were WOWed by the experience. DO yourself a favour and want the grounds. Keep in mind we were the on a very hot and sunny summer's day. If you're not drinking the walk is free. If you are doing a tasting as well, then the walk before will only enhance the flavours.
We had a great afternoon at the Glen Grant distillery. The staff are great and so helpful. The whisky and the story of the distillery is so well explained.
If you have time, visit the distillery garden, what a beautiful place, so peaceful. We wandered round it today and It was so tranquil.
Unique and informative distillery tour. Beautiful facility. The gardens surrounding the buildings were fantastic. Kirstie, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. While the process for making whisky is similar from distillery to distillery it's the small details that make a place unique. Glen Grant had some amazing small details.
Visited here for the tour which costs £5 each. It leaves on the hour every hour. Really enjoyable and informative tour which includes all parts of the distillery, mash tun, still room, warehouses, etc.You also receive £2 off a 70cl bottle in the gift shop for each tour entry. Not sure that helps if you plan on buying their 50 year old which is expensive 😆 You receive 2 whiskies to sample included in the tour at the end. Would definitely recommend and worth the visit if you are in this area
This was a nice tour as part of a wider experience in the area. The tour provided an insight into the distillery. The tasting at the end was very nice starter whisky for the unitiated. Pleasantly surprised at the price of £28 for a bottle. There was also a cafe and picnic area, although didn't use. It did look nice
What a Great tour I really enjoyed the experience tour guide was very informative and helpful and spoke about the whole process of making whisky from start to finish. I really liked the still room and the tasting room at the end were I had the chance to taste a selection of different whiskys produced at the distillery.
Lovely grounds and nice little tour of the working stills. Some very reasonably priced bottles available in the distillery shop too.
Beautiful gardens, well worth a visit for young and old alike. Our whiskey tasting was hosted by a lovely knowledgeable local lady and I would highly encourage everyone to do try it.
